BUSINESS CHALLENGE

Trident was established in 2015 bringing together a team of experts and combining decades of experience to from and quickly position as a leading partners across the healcare/education/government and commercial sectors. While the business was sound the IT advice received left Trident with operational challenges and ill fitting solutions.

The solutions provided left Trident wasting time and resources on IT rather than concentrating on their business.

THE SOLUTION

Mear Technology had worked with some of Tridents Directors previously. During the formation of Trident a local firm had been selected to provide Telephones & broadband. There were regular issues with broadband speed, telephone quality and a lack of service troubleshooting and resolving these issues. Mear Technology also identified needless costs and overspends on IT.

We:

  • Completed handover and lock out of previous IT vendor.
  • Supplied and deployed Microsoft Office 365.
  • Replaced WiFi to improve coverage and stabilise connection.
  • Supplied new line and broadband connection in parallel to current supplier. To stabilise supply and deliver better support and SLA.
  • Migrated all data from on site server shares to Office 365 while maintaining the traditional method of access data via a drive letter.
  • Supplied new desktop and laptop PC’s to all staff.
  • Replaced existing phone system providing SAVINGS, improved functionality and flexibility while retaining marketed numbers.
  • Provided user training on new services.
  • Removed duplicate and unnessary licenses.

THE RESULTS

Mear Technology demonstrated significant savings over 3 years by migrating to the cloud vs a new server. Mear Technology completed a migration of all staff to new equipment and services allowing all staff to work anywhere. Trident gained additional functions, such as improved collaboration, and no longer required a VPN to the office to securely access corporate files.

Trident have gained a responsive IT provider with systems that work. Reduced their IT costs and frustrations.
